Slide Scanning Service

We individually scan your slides at the quality you choose

Our professional and experienced slide scanning service will take great care in individually scanning each one of your photo slides (the kind that used to be shown on old Kodak slide projectors) before they deteriorate beyond saving.

Don't worry if you can't see the detail and color of each slide--our professional slide scanning service will bring out the best color and resolution that we can to make sure that your precious photo slides will be saved for the next generation of your family or business.

We scan your priceless family photos individually, turn the photo scans into a DVD slide show with music, and provide a backup CD or DVD of your scanned photos. If you prefer, we can just scan the photos and place them on a CD or DVD without creating a DVD slideshow of your photos.

Whether you are having just photo scans created or if you have us create a DVD photo slideshow, we automatically touch up each photo and correct the color. We provide a CD or DVD backup of your scanned photographs for your future use.

We scan your slides, turn them into a DVD slideshow with music, and provide a backup CD or DVD of your scanned slides. If you need scanning of your slides only, we can do the scanning without creating a DVD slideshow.

Let us scan your slides and make a high quality DVD slide show with music. We automatically touch up each slide and lighten dark slides so faces are visible. We provide a CD or DVD backup of your scanned slides for your future use in making photo prints, etc.

We can transfer and convert your 35mm slides, Super 35mm slides, 126 slides, 110 slides, 127 SuperSlides and 127 slides to digital DVD. We scan each slide individually (no batch conversions) to keep the quality of your slides at its highest. Once the slide is scanned, it is automatically transferred into a photo touch up program where we correct the color, lighten dark slides, and darken bright slides so all are photo quality.

We then save your scanned slides as .jpg files and burn them all to a CD or a data DVD which will be included with your order. From the CD or DVD, you can upload the new slide photos to your computer and have them made into prints with any good quality photo service. Since slides have a much higher quality than prints, you will be pleased with the high resolution of the slide scans. We number each slide scan file as we can it and keep them in the order you have indicated.

Once all slides have been scanned, we start work on your DVD slide show with transitions and music to your specifications. We keep a digital copy of all your slides until you receive your project back in the mail to guard against loss or damage.

We realize that your family slides are precious to you, so we handle your slide scans with extreme care. Unlike other services that batch convert your slides (quickly scanning without regard to the slide itself), we scan each slide by hand--one by one--to give you the highest quality slide scans available. Every slide scan is performed by a single person to ensure quality slide scans.

Some slide scanning adjustments are included in the price such as slide scanning color correction, slide scanning re-orientation of position, and slide scanning red eye removal. Extra services you can request include slide scanning dust and scratch removal.

Slide scanning questions:

1. What sizes of slide scanning do you perform?

35mm slides, Super 35mm slides, 126 slides, 110 slides, 127 SuperSlides and 127 slides

2. What dpi (dots per inch) should I have my slides scanned?

Once you send us (or drop off) your slide scanning project, we will scan ONE single slide at a variety of dpi resolutions and email them to you. At that point you can choose the dpi resolution that will work for your project needs. For example, if your purpose is to have the slides scanned and then have prints made, you can use a much lower dpi (at a lower cost) than if you want to have slides scanned and then printed at 11" x 14". In fact, if you have just a few slides that you want scanned at a high dpi, we can do that as well as scanning your other slides at a lower resolution.

3. A few of my slides are dirty--can you clean them?

Yes. There is an extra charge for slide cleaning, especially if the slides were wet at some point and the slides have mold on them.

4. Many of my slides are very light--can you make the color more vibrant?

Yes, and this is included in the price per scan. We'll make each slide scan look as good as possible.
